This small B&B lives up to all of the previous reviews. Regina is a great host with a wealth of information on restaurants and local activities. The free internet access was greatly appreciated. The neighborhood has good transportation options via bus or subway. We also booked an airport transfer through Regina's friend Dante and he provided a good service. We would highly recommend Garufa (www.garufabuenosaires.com) |

Dante Proano was only a
name and a picture on a website when my wife and I planned our honeymoon
trip to Buenos Aires in August 2006. However, Dante selflessly introduced us into the myriad of milongas
and the culture of BA and rapidly became a trusted friend. He translated
from Spanish to English when necessary and transported us reliably to
and from airports and points of interest. Although we only had two weeks
to explore the wonderful city, we can't wait to return to resume our
friendship with Dante.
He is truly a person you should meet and use for your transportation and
tour needs. Feel free to email me directly should you need additional information about Dante or BA. Lee D. Griffith, M.D. (U.S.A.) |

Dante Proano is a great host in Buenos Aires. He can pick you up from the airport and accompany you to any milonga, give tango lessons, and even take you shopping. He is a wonderful friend. If you're going to Buenos Aires, call him. Laurie Handlers (www.butterflyworkshops.com/links/recommendedLinks.asp) |

I had taken tango lessons in the US and even though I am generally a good dancer and love dancing, I was finding myself intimidated and insecure on the dance floor. Dante changed all that! In just a few hours, with wonderful patience and a fun sense of humor, he taught the "sense" of tango, the foundation on which I will be able to go on and build more complicated steps as time goes by. Now, when I'm on the dance floor, the clumsiness of insecurity is gone and I can enjoy the dance! Thanks, Dante! And he taught me how to "give the look" to get invited to dance and it works in the US too! Marie France from Los Angeles (e-mail on request) |
